Journal of Medical Internet Research Receives a Journal Impact Factor of 5.8

(Toronto, June 26, 2024) JMIR Publications announced today that its flagship journal, the Journal of Medical Internet Research, reported a Journal Impact Factor (JIF) of 5.8 as published in the 2024 Journal Citation Report (JCR) from Clarivate.  

The Journal of Medical Internet Research continues to retain its historical position as a Q1 journal (top 25%) in both the “Medical Informatics” and “Health Care Sciences & Services” categories. Already ranked #1 in Google Scholar by the h-index, with its new JIF of 5.8, it now surpasses more journals in its field. The Journal of Medical Internet Research's Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) rose to 1.68, indicating that the journal's citation impact is 68% higher than the average in its category.
